Teaching Methods and
Assessment System
A variety of teaching methods include:
Lectures - presence is not obligatory but is highly recommended.
Tutorials and Seminars are organised in smaller groups of 10-20 students. They offer to
discuss problems and analyse cases.
Laboratories are highly practical tutorials held in computer or language rooms. Projects
can be worked out by an individual student or a number of students working as one team to
solve a problem.
Most subjects are completed with examinations. There are also subjects which are assessed
continuously in the course of the semester.
Foreign students who do not speak Polish can take a number of subjects on individual
grounds. They are supervised by a tutor in English or German in an individual way. They
will be supposed to prepare a project and then present it in public. Foreign students can
also attend tutorials held in Polish. In the course of the class they can get parallel
instruction in English or German.
Students get grades and ECTS credits for each subject they study. ECTS credits assess the
student’s work related to the subject, while the grade indicates their achievement
level.
The Transcript of Records will be prepared for each foreign student to our College and
send to the student’s home institution.
