The
Business College
(Wyższa Szkoła Marketingu i Biznesu), Łódź, Poland, is a private institution of Higher Education licensed by the Ministry
of National Education in 1994. It is entitled to run undergraduate and postgraduate degree
programmes in business administration.
Theoretical knowledge is combined with practical maagerial skills to give students an
excellent chance of a career, where professional ambition and managerialaccomplismment can
develop and progress to give students excellent job opportunities in modern business
activities-local and international.

The language of
instruction is Polish, however selected subjects are offered in English or German. Prior
to each semester foreign students can enrol in an intensive Polish language course.
Business College is an eligible ERASMUS
(Erasmus Code: PL LODZ10) institution, which co-operates within the framework of the
ERASMUS programme with the following institutions of higher education:
- Fachhochschul - Studiengänge - Vorarlberg (Austria)
- Berufsakademie Mannheim (Germany)
- University of Extramadura, Caceres (Spain)
Foreign Languages
Our Business College offers foreign language tuition
within 4 broad bands: Beginner, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
The objective of the language programme is to develop fluency in everyday life situations
and business contexts e.g. participating in meetings and discussions, negotiating,
speaking in public, business correspondence. The focus is on expanding business vocabulary
and developing speaking skills.
Foreign language offered: English, German, Spanish, French.
Foreign students can enrol in a Polish language course. Students learn to communicate in
simple everyday situations and points of grammar are covered as they make progress. The
approach is interactive and the climate of the class very friendly and stimulating.
Students can get extra material on request.
The Staff
Our Professors, Assistant Professors and language
Tutors form a highly professional and experienced teaching staff. They are known for their
personal interest in their students. All these contribute to a friendly student-centred
atmosphere at the College. If you have any questions about the best programme option you
can contact the Erasmus Coordinator, who is available to advise you on any matters. You
can be assured of a warm welcome.
The Business
College - Your Place of Study
The College campus is set in a beautiful, stimulating
location only about 20 minutes from the city centre. It has an imposing building secluded
in its own green surroundings. It is a tranquil green place which is of great attraction
for those looking for quality of study and quality of student life. The College has
excellent catering facilities. Both the Refectory and the student Cafe offer a wide
selection of meals and snacks at a convenient price. The menu changes every day.

Łódź in one of the most interesting cities of Poland with a lot of history and sights
to see. Visitors to Łódź say that it is not a beautiful city but I tell you it has a
wealth of remarkable and magic corners and a multinational past. The power of the city was
created by Poles, Jews, Germans and Russians. You shall be impressed by the grand eclectic
middle class mansions from the turn of the XIXth /XXth centuries in Piotrkowska Street.
Łódż has a well–established reputation as a cultural centre with a wide selection of
concerts, festivals, artistic happenings and exhibitions.

The
Academic Calendar
The academic year is divided into 2 semesters
(15 weeks each)
Winter semester is from October to the end of January;
Summer semester is from March to the end of June.
Each semester is followed by examination session of a two-week
duration.
The following semester breaks are scheduled:
-two-week Christmas break,
-one-week Easter break
-one-week break between semesters (February)
